This special supplement is about people who have worked selflessly to make others' lives better.

The list in this supplement is, however, not an exhaustive one, for the simple reason that there are thousands of Nepalis - and foreigners - rendering selfless services in various part of this country.

Many of them we don't know about, and it's not possible to cover the stories even all those we do know.

But this supplement, issued on the occassion of our publication's first anniversary, is our attempt to pay tribute to all such known and unknown heroes who are working for others rather than just for themselves.

This country is a better place because of them all, and we are truly proud of each of them.
