Parties Close To Deal: Dahal
JANAKPUR, Sept 1: Chairman of UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday expressed his belief that political parties would forge consensus on the reinstatement of  the Constituent Assembly (CA) within a day or two.

Speaking to reporters at Janakpur Airport today, Dahal said, “Compared to Friday’s meeting, we have entered one step ahead in today’ meeting.” He further added that prospect of CA reinstatement is high though new elections are one of the options.

On the occasion, he also said that the three-party meet would continue until they forge consensus on ending the ongoing political deadlock in the country. “If parties fail to agree on CA’s reinstatement within a day or two, we will forge consensus on fresh polls,” Dahal claimed.

On the issue of ordinances, Dahal  expressed his hope that President Dr Ram Baran Yadav would not put  essential ordinances on hold.

In a separate context, Maoist chief Dahal claimed that putting the blame on the incumbent government for the ongoing political stalemate and demanding its resignation is not the way out of the existing problem in the country. "Political consensus among parties is only a way to bail the country out of the current political stalemate,” he said.
