Khawas Not To Appear For Pune FC Trial
  KATHMANDU, July 31: National team striker Bharat Khawas has decided not to join Indian premier division club Pune FC for trial immediately. Khawas, called by Pune FC for trial last week is currently undergoing test for recruitment in the Nepal Army.

Khawas has passed the written examination for cadet (second lieutenant) in NA and has been called by both Nepal Army and Pune FC on Wednesday.

"I have always dreamed of joining the army. Both Army and Pune called me for training on Wednesday, thus I decided to skip the trial of Pune FC," Khawas told Republica.

"I hope to have better future in Army and I decided not to leave the process midway," Khawas said.

Arun Ram, an Indian residing in America had called Khawas for trail. "I told him that I would not be able to participate in the trail as I am undergoing test for recruitment in NA. He has assured me that he would arrange a trial for me later," Khawas said.

Khawas was scheduled to compete with two Australians and a Korean for the position of forward. Khawas has also signed conditional contract with Mega Three Star stating he would play for Three Star in the current season if he fails the NA recruitment test.
