KATHMANDU, May 6: Ncell has tied up with the Wikimedia Foundation to provide free of cost surfing of Wikipedia to its mobile subscribers.

According to the company, through the new service named “Wikipedia Zero” launched on Tuesday, mobile subscribers can surf the website freely in any smartphone using Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.




However, the subscribers will be charged for data service if the website is surfed through other web browsers, the company informed.

Wikipedia is a web-based encyclopaedia with content contributed by volunteers in which most articles can be edited by anyone.
