  EWC Nepal Chapter condoles over the demise of conservationist Vaidya

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA) The East West Center-Nepal Chapter has expressed its grief over the demise of conservationist Hutaram Vaidya. "The EWCA Nepal Chapter expresses its deepest heartfelt condolence to our member Ananta Ram Vaidya and his bereaved family for the sad passing away of his beloved Father Hutaram Vaidya," said a statement issued by the EWCA-Nepal Chapter Secretary Kiran Joshi. Vaidya, 94, passed away on Tuesday due to lung problems he had been suffering for a long time. " [Vaidya] was Nepal´s first Agricultural Scientist and a lifelong campaigner to Save the Holy Bagmati River," said the EWC-Nepal Chapter, recalling the contributions of late Vaidya.
