KATHMANDU, March 6: Nepal lost to Roshanara Club, Delhi by two wickets in a T20 friendly match on Tuesday.
The Nepali national cricket team, which is touring India as part of preparations for the upcoming ACC T20 Cup and ICC World Cricket League Division 3, elected to bat at the Roshanara Club Ground in the day-night match.
The home team bowled Nepal out for 129 runs in 20 overs and reached 131/8 with two balls remaining.
Paras Khadka topscored for the Nepali national team with 32 runs off 31 balls. Binod Bhandari (17 runs off 19 balls) and Manjeet Shrestha (16 runs off 14 balls) were the other two topscorers for Nepal. Rahul Vishwakarma, Sagar Pun and Sharad Vesawkar added 10 runs each for Nepal.
Sahil Harneja, Rohin Khanna and Dalip Dugar claimed two wickets each for the home team. Nishank Gosain, Manish Agrawal and Sidhant Malik also claimed a wicket each to rattle the Nepali innings.
In the successful run chase, Shiv Puri scored an unbeaten 36 runs off 27 balls for Roshanara Club. Karan Negi clobbered 23 runs off 18 balls while Jagrit Anand chipped in with 20 runs off 24 balls.
Sanjam Regmi claimed two wickets for Nepal while Paras Khadka, Manjeet Shrestha, Jitendra Mukhiya and Chandra Sawad claimed a wicket each.
Nepal will take on Bharat Nagar Academy on Thursday in a T20 match.
