KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Legal experts on Thursday argued that the formation of a chief justice (CJ)-led government is possible after removing constitutional difficulties.
During a meeting with top leaders of the four major political forces--UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front-- at the prime minister´s residence in Baluwatar, the legal experts suggested that election government can be formed under the leadership of CJ as per the doctrine of necessity.
However, the Nepal Bar Association, the umbrella organization of the lawyers in Nepal, has already rejected the proposal and even submitted a memorandum to the president to prevent such a move.
