BHAKTAPUR, Feb. 12: Officials of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday seized different files and minute books of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) on suspicion of financial regularities.
The anti-corruption body seized the files of the CTEVT after the officials were charged of giving permission to five colleges to take admission in the 2069/070 fiscal year to run 13 different subjects from the 126th meeting of the CTEVT.
Secretary at the CIAA Laxmi Niraula confirmed that files of the five colleges and 13 subjects along with the minute books were seized.
The CTEVT had given permission to Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College, Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur-based Bharatpur Hospital and other institutions to run different courses after three months of the beginning of the new session.
Different employees´ associations had indefinitely padlocked the offices of Vice-chairman of CTEVT, member-secretary and others since January 8
