  Lekhnath festival kicks off

POKHARA, Feb. 8: The Lekhnath Festival kicked off at Bhandarik of Lekhnath Municipality from today. The festival is organized by the Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The festival to be run until February 19 has showcased over 300 stalls related to agro and dairy products, auto, handicraft items, machinery , food and beverage and information technology.

The Election Office, Kaski has managed taking photographs for bicameral voters´ list in the festival venue. The festival is expected to witness transaction of around Rs. 200 million.

Duet folk song competition, live show of comedy artists, pop concert, youth couple dance competition and Ratyauli competition are other attractions of the festival.

According to the organizers, they have expected that around 35,000 people will observe the festival.

Chief Secretary Leelamani Poudyal inaugurated the festival. On the occasion, he expressed his belief that the festival would help promote the market of local products. Chamber President Suman Bhattarai chaired the program
