POKHARA, Feb. 4: The opposition political parties organized an anti-government demonstration in Pokhara on Monday.
Top leaders of different political parties addressed a mass meeting organized at Chipledhunga, the main market place in the lake city, and accused the ruling UCPN (Maoist) of violating the politics of consensus.
Addressing the mass meeting, CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal charged the UCPN (Maoist) of being a party of liars and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ´Prachanda´ was haboring lies.
The UML leader Nepal claimed that condition of UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda would be similar to that of former king Gyanendra if he continued cheating people.
Likewise, Nepali Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel said that the people would end the Maoists´ totalitarianism if the President failed to give a way out to the country.
Poudel claimed the Maoists were imposing totalitarianism forcefully on the people by seizing the state authority.
Similarly, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Pashupati Shumsher JBR said the present government was the main hindrance to the national unity
