KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Shiksha Shrestha of Nepal has set up final clash with Manisha Rani Tirki of Jharkhand, India on Wednesday in U-17 girl´s singles category during Chelsea Junior International Badminton Championship being held at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
Shrestha registered a comfortable 21-9, 21-11 victory over Saumya Das of Jharkhand Badminton Academy in the semifinal. Similarly, Das´s compatriot edged past Shreya Pradhan of Nepal in straight sets 32-21, 21-8.
Manisha Rani and Saumya Das of Jharkhanda have made it to the final of U-15 girl´s singles category with both of them defeating Nepali shuttlers in the semifinals. Rani thrashed Jessica Gurung 21-8, 21-7 and Das toiled hard to beat Megha Chand 21-19, 14-21, 21-18.

Riyaj Ansari and Nir Bikram Devkota of Nepal made it to the final of U-15 boy´s singles category. Ansari ousted Sujan Shrestha of Nepal 21-11, 21-14 and Devkota outplayed Saiyad Sakar Mohammad of Jharkhand 21-14, 21-11. Suman Limbu and Bijit Thapa´s pair of Nepal has fixed the final date in boy´s U-17 singles category. Limbu saw off Sawan Shrestha 22-20, 17-21, 21-17 and Thapa dispatched Tirtha Malla 21-14, 21-18.
In U-17 boy´s doubles, Suman Limbu and Santosh Khadka´s pair of Nepal thumped compatriot Sawam Shrestha and Sujan Shrestha´s pair 24-22, 21-16. In other match, Tirtha Malla and Bijit Thapa´s pair outclassed Sivek Kumar and Jay Vakratukka´s pair from Jharkhand 21-4, 21-7.
The final round of the tournament being organized by Kathmandu District Badminton Association will be held on Thursday.
