  Yamaha launches 'Like My Style' campaign

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Yamaha Nepal has launched ´Yamaha Like My Style´ -- a Facebook campaign -- to promote its bikes and establish an effective communication channel with its customers.

Launching the campaign on Wednesday, Vishnu K Agarwal, managing director of MAW Enterprises said the campaign has been launched as Facebook is becoming an effective medium of promotion these days.

“Our Facebook page will be an effective way to communicate with our customers, provide information about Yamaha products and get feedback from customers, provide safety tips and help create awareness on safe riding,” said Agarwal.



´Yamaha Like My Style´ scheme with the slogan titled ´Win Lakhs for Like´ is a contest in which people will have a chance to win Rs 200,000. To participate in the scheme Facebook users needs to upload a stylish photograph of themselves or with their friends on Yamaha bikes at Yamaha Nepal´s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/yamahanepal).

“The users need to upload their pictures with Yamaha´s R15, FZ-S, Fazer and SZ-R models to participate in the contest,” said Suraj Manandhar, business head of Yamaha Nepal.

The photograph getting the most ´likes´ will win cash prize of Rs 200,000, while the one with second highest likes will win Rs 100,000.

Similarly, Yamaha Nepal is also providing gifts to users who like its Facebook page. “We will be providing iPhone 5 every in every 15 days to the lucky ´liker´,” said Manandhar.

The winners will be announced in a live television program and will be published in Yamaha Nepal´s Facebook page.

Yamaha has been conducting various exciting programs like screening Moto GP ive, football tournaments and musical concerts. It has also been conducting Yamaha Safe Rising Science (YSRS) in various colleges as a part of its CSR activity.

“We have conducted YSRS in more than 30 colleges so far to raise awareness among youths on safe riding,” said Agrawal.

Agarwal said ´Yamaha Like My Style´ is also one of the exciting program of Yamaha, specially targeted towards youths. The campaign, which starts on December 20, will continue for two months.
