PHALEBAS, Parbat, Nov 17: A person was killed and three others were fatally injured in a jeep accident that took place at Tribeni VDC, southern part of Chitwan, on Friday evening.
The deceased has been identified Nandalal Basyal, 73, of Tribeni VDC-4. Seriously injured Basyal died on the way to the Palpa-based Mission Hospital for treatment.
A jeep bearing the registration number plate Lu 1 Ja 1077 fell 40 meter down the road. It was heading towards Huwas from Bharamagaun of Tribeni.
Injured Bhagirath Basyal, 34, Kamala Basyal, 23 and Kaushila Basyal, 65, of Tribeni-4 are undergoing treatment at the Waling Health Center, the District Police Office Parbat said. RSS
Meanwhile, a bicyclist was killed after he was hit by a bus with the Indian number plate at Dhangadhi in Siraha along the East West Highway last night. The deceased is a youth of nearly 22 years of age.
Complete details about the deceased are yet to be ascertained, Police Inspector Dhakendra Khatiwada of Ward Police Office Lahan said.
The body has been kept at the Lahan Hospital for postmortem. Following the accident, police have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle.
