ITAHARI, Nov. 15: Democratic fighter Bansi Mehta passed away at his residence on Wednesday night. He was 96.
A resident of Debangunj VDC-3, Mehta was suffering from asthma and high blood pressure.
Mehta was affiliated to the Nepali Congress before 1951 and his home had provided shelter to leader BP Koirala, GP Koirala, Ganesh Man Singh and others in course of the struggle for democracy.
He was cremated at Debangunj this afternoon, according to NC President Rajib Koirala
