BAGLUNG, Nov 12: Member of the Nepal Academy Assembly, Prem Chhota, has published a compendium of the first issues of the different newspapers published in the last 60 years from the Dhawalagiri Zone.

The compendium is a collection of the copies of the first issues of newspapers published from the zone from 2008 BS to 2069 BS. It was launched at a program organized here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chhota said he has included the first issues of the newspapers published in the Dhawalagiri Zone. Some of them are still being published while many have folded up, he added.

President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Baglung chapter, Ram Bahadur GC, said the FNJ would support the campaign launched by Chhota.

The collection shows that so far 30 newspapers have been published in Baglung, 13 in Parbat, eight in Myagdi and two in Mustang districts.
