KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Chief of Army Staff Gaurav SJB Rana returned home on Saturday after participating in the 15th Annual Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) Conference organized jointly by US Pacific Command and Australian Defense Force in Sydney.

According to a press statement issued by the NA Public Relations Directorate, NA´s second-in-command, Lieutenant General Nepal Bhushan Chanda welcomed Rana at the VVIP lounge at Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival in Kathmandu.

The theme of the CHOD Conference this year was ´Two Oceans, One Region: Strengthening Security in Asia Pacific and Indian Ocean´.

The CoAS Rana met his counterparts from various countries and held discussion on multilateral issues. The next CHOD will be held in Hawaii, USA in 2013.
