  SPORTS BRIEFS: Nine teams in Dhorpatan Cup

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The eighth edition of Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup TVS Women´s Double League Volleyball Tournament will feature a total of nine teams, the organizer Dhorpatan Club announced at a press conference held in the capital on Thursday. The event will be held at New Bus Park, Gongabu in Kathmandu. The top six teams will be awarded cash prizes with the winner receiving Rs 225,000.

The overall best player, talented players and players of the year will get a scooter each. The expected cost of the event is Rs 3.25 million.

SDFA gets football kits

KATHMANDU
: Sindhupalchowk District Football Association (SDFA) was provided football kits worth Rs 40,000 amidst a function held on Thursday. Dharmaraj Bhandari, central member of Federation of Contractors Association of Nepal, handed over the kits to SDFA President Bir Bahadur Khadka. The kits include 20 match balls and cones each, 22 pieces of bibs and a football net. According to SDFA President Khadka, the kits will be used for training the players in the district.

Meanwhile, SDFA announced that it would host the second edition of Bhotekoshi Inter-school Football Tournament from November 24 to December 1 in Sindhupalchowk. The winner and runner-up of the tournament will be awarded Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. The best player will be awarded Rs 3,000.
