POKHARA, Nov 3: One person has been killed and four others injured in an accident in Newroad, Pokhara-9 on Friday night.
A car (Ga 1 Cha 7960) en-route to Chipledhunga from Newroad, hit four motorbikes and two other cars, killing one and injuring four in the mishap.
According to Bir Bahadur Buda, chief of district traffic office, an injured Hira Gurung of Biraut, Pokhara-17, succumbed to her injuries, during the course of treatment. She was riding pillion on one of the bikes, Buda informed.
The injured have been identified as, Yubaraj Mishra of Biraut-35, Sharmila Pokharel, 20, of same place, Sarita Gurung, 25, of Mustangchowk and Keshav Thapa, 47, of Rambazaar, Pokhara-15.
Three among the injured have been undergoing treatment at Metro City Hospital and another injured is currently being treated at Manipal Hospital.
A car driven by Kalyan Adhikari of Lekhnath Municipality-4, in an inebriated state, had hit the vehicles. Police have nabbed him while he was on the run, Buda said.
