KATHMANDU, Oct 21:
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has accepted the resignation of Kumar Belbase as labor and employment minister on Sunday.

Earlier in the morning, Belbase had submitted his resignation letter, a day after PM Bhattarai ordered him to put in papers after reports emerged that the minister was involved in bribery.

The PM was said to have warned that the minister submit his resignation or face sacking.  Members of Anti Corruption Nepal, an NGO, recorded eight video during their "sting´ including one in which Belbase himself assures the group of completing their work before Dashain in return for the money.

The videos were posted on a Nepali news website on Saturday. In one of the videos, Belbase´s aide and party alternative central committee member Bhaskar Kafle, is seen asking for Rs. 250,000 to register a recruitment agency.
