KATHMANDU, Oct 15: The massive fire that broke out at the CG Elctronics Industry of the Chaudhary Group at Satungal VDC-7 here is still not brought under control.

Fire fighters are trying to douse the inferno with the help of fire trucks and water tankers. The fire broke out at 5.20 on Sunday evening.

Four fire engines in service in the Kathmandu Valley and local water tankers are being used for putting out the fire. The Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel have also been mobilized for bringing the fire under control.

It is not known how the fire started. However, a security guard at the company said the fire started from a heap of old cartons kept towards the south corner of the factory. Another staff with the company said that the fire started in course of wiring works.

The industry manufactures LG brand refrigerators, TV sets, mobile set and computers.
