KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory (KJC), a center for musical studies which opened in the fall of 2007, is celebrating its 5th Anniversary this year. On the occasion, KJC is running a music festival from October 11 to 13.

“The main goal of the program is to share music education in Nepal,” states the press release.

The first day of the event will see the SAY project performing followed by a Movie Night at Moksh in Jhamsikhel from 6pm onwards.

The final two days will see a music expo, the first of its kind, where people from all over the music business will come together under one roof for one day.

The festival is also set to feature workshops from Dr Gene Aitken and Mariano Abello and various performances by international and national musicians.
