  Bomb threat at TIA

KATHMANDU, Oct 5: Six international flights were delayed after a bomb threat at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, police said.

The threat was made by an unknown caller on Friday evening, who said that Saudi Arabia-bound plane would ´explode´ at around 8:15 pm.

Police were searching planes with sniffer dogs for possible threats till Republica went to press. Qatar, Gulf, Etihad, Sarjaha, Fly Dubai flights were delayed due to the bomb threats.
