KATHMANDU, Oct. 2: CPN (UML) secretary Shankar Pokharel has declared that his party will go ahead with the mass demonstration rally slated for October 5 even if a new government led by UML was formed.
Speaking in the interaction programme organized by the Press Chautari Nepal here on Tuesday, he said issues related to price hike, nationality and national consensus would be voiced vociferously in the protest demonstrations on that day. Pokharel is also the Chief of the party´s organizational front.
Coordinator of the party´s Valley Coordination Committee, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, said that various 30 people´s class organizations affiliated to the party and the party committees in the Kathmandu Valley would take part in the ´show of strength´ on October 5.
Also speaking on the occasion, leaders Bhanubhakta Dhakal and Yogesh Bhattarai, president of Press Chautari Nepal, Gagan Bista and former president Shambhu Shrestha called on the party leadership to make the party´s role in the national politics more effective.
