KATHMANDU, Sept 29 : A five-member Nepali delegation led by Home Secretary Nabin Ghimire arrived home Saturday after attending the fifth SAARC Home Ministerial meeting held in the Maldives.

The Ghimire-led delegation represented the country both at the Home Ministerial and Secretary level meetings as Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar skipped the meeting citing poor health. Joint Secretary Shankar Koirala, who was also a member of the delegation, said the meeting discussed curbing terrorism, cross border crimes, cyber crime and enhancing cooperation between the immigration offices and police organizations of SAARC member countries.

Among other things, the meeting also discussed ways to share information on real time basis, checking the smuggling of narcotics and trafficking of women and children.
