BHADRAPUR, Sept 29: Minister for Health and Population Rajendra Mahato has said the formation of a national consensus government would be possible before the Dashain if all the political parties reached to an agreement to that end.
Speaking at a face-to-face programme organised by Reporters´ Club, Mechi on Saturday, Minister Mahato said although the UCPN (Maoist) is serious towards forging national consensus and working accordingly, the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have been causing obstructions for this.
"The Constituent Assembly was dissolved without giving the nation new constitution because of the Congress and UML", claimed Mahato, adding that new constitution with guarantee of federalism is the dream of Nepali people and fresh election could be adopted or the dissolved CA could be revived for a few days to meet the people´s expectation.
"The government is committed to close those health institutes operating illegally", said the health minister and pledged to take action against proprietors of such illegal health institutes.
He added that the CPN-Maoist decision of preventing vehicles with Indian number plates from plying on Nepali territory and halting a release of Hindi movies is an ´anti-Madhes move´ and such move would jeopardize the friendly relations existing between the two neighbours.
