KATHMANDU, Sept 27: A meeting of 19 opposition parties, including Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, was held at UML central office in Balkhu on Wednesday but could not come up with their detailed program of protest against the government.
Emerging from the meeting, Chitra Bahadur KC, chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha, said the opposition parties would now unveil their protest program on Oct 1 amid a press conference after holding further discussion on the protest among the parties.
UML politburo member Raghuji Panta said they would chalk out their protest program focusing issues, including rising inflation, corruption and anti-national activities in the country.
CP Gajurel, vice-chairman of CPN-Maoist, who left the meeting early to attend a party program, said his party would fully comply with the meeting´s decision regarding the anti-government protest.
