KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi) has warned the ruling party, the Unified CPN (Maoist), against taking the country on the course of confrontation with the intention of sticking in power for long.

The meeting of the National Work Execution Committee held on September 25 and 26 also accused the UCPN (Maoist) of disturbing the peace in the country by taking it towards confrontation. It decided to launch a struggle for safeguarding democracy working together with the democratic forces.

The NSP (A) meeting concluded that the present government should go and a government of national unity should be constituted to end the current political deadlock. It suggested that this could be done by calling a national conference of all the political parties and that the NSP (A) would request the other political parties for the same.

It also decided call on the government to check the market inflation, shortage of essential goods and commodities and black marketing and roll back the hike in prices of various goods with immediate effect.

Acting National President of the party, Devendra Mishra, presided over the meeting.
