REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Sept 26: Two human skeletons have been found in a dense forest at Bagheshwari, Bhaktapur, near the Nagarkot Tower on Wednesday.

According to Police Inspector Rupak Khadka of Bhaktapur Metropolitan Police, the skeletons, suspected to be of a man and woman, were at various stages of decay.

Inspector Khadka said that the male body was found hanging from a tree whereas the female body was lying on the ground near the same tree.

Some locals, who had gone to the forest to collect woods and grass, discovered the bodies.

According to the police, the male body that was hanging from the tree had a red shawl tied around its neck and had some flesh intact. The female body, on the other hand, had decomposed completely.

The skeletons have been taken to teaching hospital for DNA test and other investigation. It is yet to be ascertained if it is a case of murder or suicide.
