RAJBIRAJ, Sept 26: Various date-expired food items are found sold at arbitrary rate in Rajbiraj, the headquarters of Saptari district.
This fact was found in course of the monitoring carried out by the joint market monitoring sub-committee since the last two weeks.
The sub-committee found that the same product was sold at different prices at different shops. Some shops were also found selling date-expired food items.
The monitoring was carried out at the wholesale and retail stores, hotels, restaurants and outlets here. It was found that many of these businesses were operating without registering, acquiring license and registering in the Public Account Number (PAN). Most of these shops had also not kept the price list.
The sub-committee has warned these shops and told their proprietors to do the needful as per its directives.
