Current govt, the most worthless: Sitaula

MAHESHWAR CHAMLING

UDAYPUR, Sept 25: General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC) Krishna Prasad Sitaula on Tuesday termed the incumbent government as the most worthless one in the history.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Udaypur chapter of Press Union, Sitaula said that the Baburam Bhattarai-led government is the most irresponsible and immoral till the date. “The coalition government of UCPN (Moist) and UDMF has miserably failed and that the existing crisis won´t get outlet unless this government stays on."

He was also of the opinion that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai should immediately step down and pave way for the formation of consensus government under NC’s leadership. “NC would give the name for the next prime minister within two hours once the PM quits,” Sitaula said.

The Constituent Assembly elections would be conducted by the NC-led government, he said. Sitaula has arrived in Gaighat to attend a party program.

NC senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has also arrived in Gaighat this afternoon to participate in the program
