KATHMANDU, Sept 22: In its bid to pile pressure on other political parties, the Federal Democratic Republic Alliance (FDRA), an alliance mainly of the ruling parties on Saturday decided to hold regional assemblies in five places across the country.

A meeting of the alliance held at New Baneshwor this morning decided to hold mass meetings in one place in each development region across the country for creating awareness among the public, Prem Bahadur Singh, spokesperson for the FDRA informed after the meeting.

As per the decision, the alliance would start the campaign with a mass meet in Biratnagar on October 3. Similarly, other assemblies would follow in Janakpur on October 5, in Nepalgunj on October 7 and in Pokhara on October 9.The campaign would conclude with a mass meeting in Kathmandu on October 12.
