  Disqualified combatants withdraw banda

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Disqualified Maoist combatants have withdrawn banda called for Saturday and Sunday after sealing a four-point deal with the government.

Agitating combatants held talks with Peace and Reconstruction Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi at Peace and Reconstruction Ministry, Singhadurbar on Thursday.

The government has agreed to take an initiative to implement past agreements, provide details of imprisoned Maoist combatants to Peace and Reconstruction Ministry, provide treatment facilities to the injured combatants during insurgency and hold second-round of talks with representatives of home ministry.
