KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Nepal will lock horn against Bangladesh on Thursday in the international football friendly to be held at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
Bangladesh which arrived in Nepal on Sunday to play two friendly matches will now play only one match as the first match scheduled for Tuesday was cancelled due to unfavorable ground condition following downpour on Sunday and Monday.
The match on Thursday will be the 13th international encounter between the two teams in which visitor holds better record than the host. Among 12 matches, Bangladesh has won eight and lost four.
The last time Nepal played against Bangladesh was during the group stage of Seventh SAFF Championship in New Delhi, India on 2011.
On the occasion, a miraculous freekick goal from skipper Sagar Thapa in the last minutes of the match enabled Nepal to defeat Bangladesh 1-0.
