KATHMANDU, Sept 13: After 10 shows spread out over a month, the Golden Moments grand finale is taking place on September 13, 2012.
The series of Golden Moments was especially dedicated to The Beatles and was strategically planned to coincide with the birthday of John Lennon, who was born on October 9, 1940. Build-up shows were held at Bhumi Restro Bar, 8 Degrees, Degaa Restro Lounge, Vintage Pub & Café, Electric Pagoda, Trisara, Brian’s Grill, Moksh and Tamas.
The final event is scheduled to be held at Trisara, Lazimpat on September 13 and Meconopsis Boutique Hotel, Pulchowk on September 14.
The grand Finale will feature a star studded line up of Gary Gibson and Richard Neale as John Lennon and Paul McCartney respectively, accompanied by their band from the UK, comprising of Christopher Grindord, Justin Crowe, Michael Beck and John Dorris. Local band Prism is set to open the act at Trisara while The Heartbreakers will open the evening at Meconopsis Boutique Hotel.
Gibson and Neale are famous professional impersonators of John Lennon and Paul McCartney and have performed around the world.
10 years ago Gibson joined “Anthology of the Beatles” and toured across the world, taking in major Beatles fests in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
While Richard has done the “Let it Be” show at the world famous Olympia Theatre in Paris.
