UML to play role to protect Madhes

BIRATNAGAR, Sept 9: Central member of the Republican Madhesi Organisation and former minister Raghubir Mahaseth has blamed that the Bhattarai-led government could not do any work in favour of the people during the one year period.

Addressing the mass meeting organized by the Youth Association Nepal (YAN) under the Madhes Awareness Campaign at Bhutaha in Sunsari district, Mahaseth said Madhesi communities should be united to remove the government as the UCPN-Maoist has made the country a prisoner of indecision by dissolving the Constituent Assembly (CA).

On the occasion, Former minister for General Administration Ram Chandra Yadav and Central Chairman of YAN Mahesh Basnet blamed that Madhesi parties, which are in the government, and the UCPN-Maoist have been engaged in anti-Madhesh works.

They said no other political party except the CPN-UML could protect the Madhes and respect the role played by the people from Madhesi community.
