Ensure 33 percent women in all state bodies: Minister Yadav

SUNDARIJAL, Sept 9: Treasurer of the Nepali Congress, Chitralekha Yadav, has said participation of 33 per cent women needs to be ensured in every state body as provisioned in the Interim Constitution of Nepal for the empowerment of the women.
Addressing a Teej program organized by the Nepali Congress Mulpani Village Unit Committee on Saturday, leader Yadav said once the women were appointed in the ministries of defense, home affairs, finance and education, it would be the welfare of the nation.
Central member of the party, Min Bishwokarma, said people would get nothing but heavy price hike until this government against national culture and communal harmony steps down.
At the program chaired by Unit President Shankar Bista, the Mahasamiti members Deepak Prasad Kuikel and Shakar Thapa, constituency president Upendra Karki, Krishna Murari Neupane and others spoke about the BP´s role in democracy and socialism.
Students from the Mulpani VDC who performed excellent in the SLC exam in 2068 BS were honoured on the occasion.
Even the teej songs and dances were performed during the program.
