  Several machines operating on stolen electricity confiscated

RAJBIRAJ, Sept 8: A team from Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Rajbiraj Distribution Center seized various electric machineries and other electric accessories running on the unauthorized electricity, apparently hooked to the main lines illegally, in the district on Friday.

The monitoring team led by Shambhu Kusaiyat, chief at the electricity distribution centre seized 23 water pumps, 5 tube wells, 500 meters of wire, a drill machine, wooden surface plainer and a cutter.

According to engineer Rewat Chaudhary, the machines were confiscated after they were found running from the stolen electricity while the team toured Bodebarshain, Siswa Belhi, Sarswar and Kalyanpur VDC to check the electricity theft.

Earlier, the team had also seized 25 electric water pumps on last week.
