RATNAGAR, (Chitwan), Sept 6: One person died and three others sustained injuries in a vehicular accident on the Prithvi Highway at Darechowk-4, Chitwan district on Wednesday evening.
A passenger bus going towards Pokhara from Kathmandu and another vehicle heading towards Kathmandu collided at the place resulting in the casualties.
The deceased is a 60-year-old woman who was on board the bus, according to the Mugling Police. The name and address of the victim is not ascertained yet.
Eighteen-year-old Srijana B.K. of Tanahun district, 22-year-old Pratima Lamichhane of Khoplang, Gorkha district and Ratan Bahadur Thapa of Syangja district sustained serious injuries in the accident. They are being treated at the Bharatpur Medical College Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the bus has been arrested, police said.
