KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The quarterfinal line up for the men´s category in the first NVA Cup National Club Volleyball Championship was completed on Tuesday.

Armed Police Force (APF) Club will meet Nepal Sports Club of Far-wetern Region, Western Region Volleyball Training Center will meet G-Four Sports Club of Dolakha, Nepal Army Club will lock horns against Bhaktapur Young Circle and Nepal Police Club will vie against University Sports Association.

Nepal Police Club, Nepal Sports Club, APF Club and Western Region won their respective matches under men´s category during the last day of the group stage held on Tuesday at the covered hall of National Sports Council.

In group D match, Police recorded a comfortable 25-11, 25-14, 25-20 win over Jawalakhel Volleball Training Center to emerge group winner. G-Four was the runner up of the group.

Nepal Sports Club secured semifinal berth as the runner up of group C. Nepal Sports achieved straight set win over Kavre Sindhu Youth Club 25-11, 25-14, 25-20. Army had already secured a place for knockout stage as the winner of the group.

APF Club finished winner of group A after an easy win over Bhaktapur Young Circle. APF defeated Bhaktapur in straight sets 25-16, 25-9, 25-19. Bhaktapur, however, made it to last eight as the runner up of the group.

Western Region Volleyball Training Center overcame Dhorpatan Sports Training Center 25-16, 25-23, 25-11 to emerge winner of group B. With two defeats Dhorpatan was sent crashing out of the event.

In the women´s section, APF saw off Western Region 25-23, 25-20, 25-19 to top group B. Both the teams have already secured semifinal spots.
