KATHMANDU, Sept 2: The Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu in cooperation with the Department of Export Promotion of Thailand, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways International is organizing “Thailand Today and Thai Food Festival 2012” on September 6 and 7 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu.

The exhibition is set to showcase many of Thailand’s amazing tourist destinations as well as many renowned hospitals and spas as medical hub of Asia. Moreover, various Thai companies will also be displaying quality products, ranging from auto part, cosmetic, footwear, energy drink to home products.

One of the most popular cuisines of the world, Thai food is prepared by using plenty of fresh ingredients and spices. During the festival, a team of eight experienced Thai chefs and instructors will take the center stage and prepare authentic and famous Thai dishes, including sweets and fruits presented in a traditional way and serving it for special dining experience.



In addition to all the joys, all participants can also enjoy lucky draw prizes, including a roundtrip ticket Kathmandu-Bangkok-Kathmandu.

The exhibition is aimed to promote Thailand as a preferred destination in Asia for tourism and medical services as well as to promote authentic Thai Food and to share its rich culture in healthy and tasty food with Nepali people and foreigners living in Nepal.

The festival is scheduled to open at 4pm and end at 6pm on September 6 and 10am to 5pm on September 7.
