KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Various apparel outlets in the capital have announced stock clearance sales, offering discounts of up to 50 percent, as they prepare to bring in new products targeting Dashain festival as well as winter season.
Central Retail - the authorized distributor of Zara products -- at Civil Mall is offering up to 30 percent discount on jeans, casual pants, T-shirts and shirts. The offer is valid on both men and women wear. Besides, the store is also offering 20 percent discount on footwear.
“We will introduce new outfits for the festival season and winter once the stock clearance offer is over,” said Sonam Ghale, managing director of Central Retail.
Central Retail has on display different range of casual wear, formal wear, dresses, accessories and footwear for both men and women. Prices of these products start from Rs 690 for basics, Rs 1,600 for shirts and Rs 2,500 for dresses. The offer is valid till September.
Similarly, Sports Plaza -- the authorized importer of Reebok, Lee and Rockport - is also offering up to 50 percent discount as part of its stock clearance sale. “We have announced discount offer to clear our stock,” said Dilip KC manager of Sports Plaza.
The scheme is valid on its entire product range like sports shoes, readymade garments and accessories. “Apart from that, we are also offering around 40 percent discount on sports shoes like Zigtech and Real Flex -- the latest footwear by Reebok,” said KC, adding that the scheme is valid till September.
In Sports Plaza, shoes are priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000, T-shirts cost in range of Rs 1,200 to Rs 3,500 and accessories are available in price range of Rs 199 to Rs 4,000.
Peter England - an apparel store for men -- at Civil Mall has also announced clearance sale, offering discount of up to 50 percent. “We announce clearance sales three times a year as it helps us clear seasonal stocks as well as boost sales,” said Bikash Agarwal proprietor of Peter England.
The offer is valid till mid-September. Clothes and accessories at Peter England are available in price range of Rs 659 to Rs 3,000.
