KATHMANDU, Aug 28: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at the latter’s residence at Shital Niwas on Tuesday.
It has been learnt that the duo discussed various issues, including the country´slatest political development during the meeting.
On the occasion, President Yadav expressed his satisfaction over the resumption of talks among the political parties in a bid to end the ongoing political impasse.
During the meeting, Dr Yadav urged Dahal to forge consensus among the parties at the earliest to bail the country out of the current political stalemate.
Responding to the president, Dahal expressed his belief that they would soon find consensus among the parties on the issues of political differences. He also assured that ongoing talks among the parties will be given continuity.
Dahal also told the president that he is holding a three-party meeting on Wednesday to find a way out of the existing political deadlock.
Earlier, this morning Dahal had held talks with Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala on the issue of ending the ongoing political wrangling in the country.
