KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Nepali Congress (NC) District Committee presidents have decided to seek a review of the Supreme Court verdict against party leader Khum Bahadur Khadka describing it as ´biased´.
Khadka was found guilty of corruption and sentenced to one and a half years in jail along with the confiscation of Rs 9.47 million and a fine of the same amount.
A meeting in Kathmandu also vented ire against the court and the anti-graft body for their inaction over the corruption cases related to the leaders of other parties, according to NC District president Bhimsen Das Pradhan.
The NC district presidents have also demanded a probe into the properties of justices and the commissioners of the CIAA.
