MPRF-R leader accuses police of hatching plot to kill

MITHILESH YADAV

LAHAN, Aug 21: A senior leader of  the Madhesi Peoples’ Rights Forum-Republic (MPRF-R) has accused an incumbent police officer in the district of hatching a plot to murder him, on Tuesday.

Raj Lal Yadav, a ruling alliance leader, accused Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Lal Karna, Siraha district police chief  of conspiring  to kill him as SP Karna withdrew his police security guard on late Monday night.

Talking to journalists this morning, leader Yadav further lamented, “It has been found that police are involved in most of the criminal incidents in the district,” adding, “SP Karna conspired against me to prevent investigations against them.”

Saying that he is feeling extremely insecure staying in the district, Yadav informed that he is leaving for Kathmandu today and he would not return until and unless SP Karna is transferred from the district.
