RSS

LALITPUR, Aug 18: Minister for Health and Population Rajendra Mahato has pledged to take action against those private health institutes not abiding by the Health Service Act.

Inaugurating the Dirghayu Healthcare Pvt Ltd at Jawalakhel in Lalitpur on Saturday, Minister Mahato said some private health institutes are found not renewing their license for a long time and even not meeting the minimum criteria and vowed to take action against them.

"The government is thinking of monitoring the private health institutes within a week," said the Health Minister.

The government is always committed to ensuring basic health services to people, he said and urged health workers to focus on rural-centric service rather than being confined to urban areas.

The government is ready to provide necessary perks and facilities to those health professionals working in the remote areas.

It is learnt that the hospital was established targeting the rheumatism, diabetes and thyroid patients.
