  Three children go missing in rivulet

HETAUDA, Aug. 16: Three children went missing when they were swept away by swollen Bakaiya rivulet at Chhatiban VDC-9 in Makawanpur district.

The rivulet swept them away on Wednesday evening while they were crossing the rivulet with father on the way to home from Hetauda.

The missing children are identified as daughters and a son of Shanker Moktan of Chhatiban VDC-9, Luhana, including eight-year-old Shanti, seven-year-old Sanju and four-year Shekhar Moktan confirmed District Police Office, Makawanpur.

Locals had managed to rescue father Shanker Moktan from the rivulet but they failed to find the missing children, police said.

Police and locals have jointly searched for the missing ones in the rivulet since this morning, according to police.
