Oli blames media of wrong publicity

REPUBLICA ONLINE

BIRATNAGAR, Aug 11: CPN-UML leader KP Oli has blamed media of giving him wrong publicity by declaring him as a future prime minister.

He also urged the media houses to not to publicize him as the future prime minister. Attending a program in Biratnagar on Saturday, Oli said, “I don’t have the desire to take up the prime ministerial post, do not give me such wrong publicity.”

The media wants me to be the prime minister; they are just expressing their desire to see me as prime minister, as they know that they will be benefitted if that happens, he further added. However, he also stated that if required he would not hesitate to take up the responsibility.

Underlining that the next prime minister will be decided through consensus, he also criticized Nepali Congress of not being able to nominate a candidate for the post.

“We are waiting for the Nepali Congress to give us a name for the next prime minister but they are just delaying the whole thing,” Oli concluded.
