POKHARA, Aug 11: Chairwoman of Nepal Women´s Association Dila Sangraula said on Saturday that present political deadlock was the result of lack of women in the top leadership of major political parties. "This has made the country a hostage of indecision," Sangraula said.
Speaking at a news conference organized by the Nepal Press Union, Kaski chapter, she claimed that new constitution would have been promulgated by May 27 and country would have taken a new course provided that women politicians were given space in the leadership of major political parties.
Sangraula is likely to attend different programs of the association in Pokhara as a part of the association´s upcoming general convention.
She said that fundamental rights of the country people were suppressed due to Constituent Assembly´s failure to promulgate new constitution.
