  Vice-prez Jha for CA revival

REPUBLICA ONLINE

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Vice-president Parmananda Jha said on Friday that reinstating the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) and finding a solution through it will be the best option to resolve the current political stalemate.

Talking to a group of journalists in the capital,  Jha stressed on ending the current crisis through reinstated CA. He, however, said the political parties will have to first forge consensus for that. He was also of the opinion that neither the president nor the vice-president can resolve the political deadlock.

“We go for new polls or revive the dissolved CA, in either case the interim constitution needs to be amended. And for constitution amendment, CA is needed," Jha argued, adding that it is only the political parties that can really give outlet for the impasse.
