KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Nepal -China Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has opned its new branch in Lalitpur district on Tuesday aiming to advance the market of traditional products of the place such as handicrafts and address the problems of the businessmen.
“The new chapter of the NCC has come into place to play a role of facilitator to develop the market potential of the products of Lalitpur,” Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, president of the NCC said at a ceremony on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by NCC, Chinese envoy Yang Houlan inaugurated the new chapter. “Lalitpur has its own special characteristics and we have to work on developing them,” the release quoted Houlan as saying.
Further appreciating the effort made by NCC to promote the bilateral relationship between Nepal and China, Houlan said China was always ready to support and advance the trade and export sector of Nepal.
“The new chapter will work towards identifying the goods for export and also address the problems of the traders,” said Naresh Kumar Shrestha, president of the newly established chapter.
